It is an informal meeting where you can give your opinions and questions to the person who leads the college. Your opinions count!

Important news about library opening times

Due to circumstances beyond our control there will be no evening library services on the following dates: 
 
15th and 16th April
22nd and 23rd April
29th and 30th April
2nd and 3rd May
 
All libraries will close  at 5pm on those dates except for Friday 3rd May, when we will close at 4pm.  At all other times libraries will be open as per published opening hours.

Creative writing competition

Only 24 hours to go!!!!!


Want to be a writer, script writer, journalist, lyricist, poet, performer................?

Enter our writing competition and showcase your skills.


It’s this simple;-

Write an original, short story, poem, rap, performance, news piece, script or song with the title 'The Gift That No One Wanted’.

Enter it before the 26th March and win a Kindle. One further winner will get a Kindle and 10 runners up will win £10 vouchers.

An anthology of the best pieces will be exhibited online across all sites as part of our READING AND WRITING WEEK 17th -23rd April 2013.

  • The piece must be NO LONGER THAN 500 words. Videos and performance pieces no longer than 3 minutes.
  • Entries must be handed in to the reception at your centre before 4pm on the 26th March 2013. Digital entries can be emailed to readingandwriting@sccb.ac.uk or katieblakeman@sccb.ac.uk
  • The competition is only open to SCCB students so don’t forget to put your full name and student number on your entry.
